Storage firm comes to rescue of landscape gardener

By Gemma Gardner

A WARE firm has come to the rescue of Standon businesswoman after reading about her plight in the Mercury.
Herts Storage, of Mead Lane, is a family-run business offering secure container, pallet and document storage facilities.
Kate Hooper was refused planning permission for storage facilities for her landscape gardening business by East Herts Council.

She appeared in the Mercury after launching an appeal against the decision.
James Tuson, the Herts Storage managing director, said: "I read about Kate and realised she was in the same predicament as many of our customers and local businesses who have simply run out of space."

James contacted Kate who runs professional gardening company The Other Room and Organic Catering company The Tickle Cottage Kitchen and offered her free storage.

Kate, of Gore Lane, Standon, was thrilled with the offer. She said: "Herts Storage really has come to my rescue. "It's difficult enough running a successful business in the current climate, but with nowhere to store my equipment, I was beginning to worry for the future of my businesses.

Kate commented:

"I used to store everything at home but following a burglary when I lost £12,500 worth of equipment, I realised that was no longer viable. I am absolutely thrilled with the service at Herts Storage and would definitely recommend them to anybody."
